About Us


Fearless Youth Association (FYA), a young people’s led organisation in Nottingham is to undertake a research in Nottingham city and the surrounding areas. Working in partnership with Mojatu Foundation, Inspire-Succeed, NGenius Lifestyle, FMB Radio, this research aims to shed light on the use, impact and effect of the police Stop and Search Techniques among young people and communities in Nottingham city and the surrounding areas. This six-week pilot research will be from 23rd April till 27th May. The consortium is thus looking for 3 volunteers to help analyse and publish the report on the findings of this research for presentation in various conferences and to lay the groundwork for a more comprehensive research.


The Role


As a researcher, you will be an active participant in developing new policy proposals that can solve today's challenges and building our impact measurement practice. This is especially important in the current environment of increased knife crime and gang violence and the search for alternative solutions to tackle these social issues.


Your responsibilities will include:


 Collection of information from a variety of internal and external sources
 Going to the streets, events and community groups to collect data
 Promoting questionnaire for online completion on social media
 Gathering reporting data from teams across the organisation
