As part of Get Online Week, the UK’s largest digital inclusion campaign by the Good Things Foundation, FYA hosted a community event on 15th October focused on bridging the digital divide. At this event, we distributed free laptops, tablets and phones to community members, helping them gain access to essential technology.
The event was designed to empower participants with the digital media skills necessary to navigate the online world confidently. Recognising the financial and technological barriers many individuals in our community face, we tailored the program to local needs, offering hands-on training and guidance.
We also provided support to sign up for our free courses, offering a range of opportunities for participants to further enhance their digital literacy and skills, ensuring long-term empowerment and inclusion. This event marks an important step towards breaking down barriers and fostering digital inclusion in our community.
